ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Noli Pitts, founder of LeadHer in Medicine.

I started this organization because I know what it feels like to be inspired by someone in medicine—and how one powerful conversation can change everything.

I moved to the U.S. from China when I was four years old as an international adoptee. Adjusting to a new culture, learning English, and figuring out where I belonged wasn’t always easy. But one doctor made a huge difference in my life early on, and that moment sparked something in me. Ever since then, I’ve known I wanted to help others—just like she helped me.

Now I’m a high school student in Lockhart, Texas. I’m passionate about leadership, community, and creating opportunities for students like me who dream of working in medicine. I founded a club called Women in STEM at my high school and realized that I wanted to have an organization more focused on medicine, so I ended up creating LeadHer in Medicine. LeadHer in Medicine connects high school girls with women doctors and healthcare professionals for mentorship, support, and real talk about the journey ahead.

My older sister—who’s an ER doctor in the Army—has always been one of my biggest role models (She’s like my own LeadHer in Medicine). She taught me that medicine is about more than science. It’s about compassion, service, and resilience. That’s what I hope this program reflects too.

I believe in leading with gentleness, curiosity, and empathy—and I’m so glad you’re here.
